What to bring when bringing a new puppy home
The big day has arrived. You are collecting your forever puppy from the breeder and are ready to welcome your new bundle of joy into your family home.
Be aware that your new puppy may be anxious about leaving their litter for the first time so give some thought to what you need for a relaxed and happy journey home.
How to help settle a puppy into a new home
Things to remember:
- a dog carrier
- a blanket
- some water
- spare bedding (puppies tend to wee when nervous!)
During your journey home, keep the atmosphere calm and relaxed. If you need a break on the way home, do not take your puppy out of the car as they are not yet fully vaccinated.
